320g (11,3 oz) Barilla® Spaghetti No. 5
30g basil leaves
15g pine nuts
1 clove garlic
200ml extra-virgin olive oil
60g Halal Parmigiano, grated
40g Hard Sheep cheese, grated
to taste Salt
to taste pepper
to taste lemon zest, grated

Method

Step 1

Here are the 3 easy steps to prepare a halal pasta with pesto genovese:

To prepare the pesto alla Genovese, blend the pine nuts and garlic in a blender. Add the basil leaves, washed and dried, salt to taste, two ice cubes to preserve the green colour, and the EVO without turning off the blender. Add the grated Parmigiano and Pecorino cheeses and adjust the density by adding more olive oil if necessary.
