320 g (11,28oz) Barilla® elbow macaroni or other short pasta
200 g Halal Cheddar cheese
60 g Halal butter (or margarine)
40 g Flour 00
800 ml Halal milk
50 g Halal Parmigiano cheese
to taste Nutmeg
to taste Salt
to taste Pepper

Preheat your oven to 200° C.

Cut the Halal Cheddar cheese into small cubes and heat the milk with a pinch of salt in a small saucepot.

In a separate pot, melt the Halal butter and add the flour, mixing well to avoid clumps. Cook for 3-5 minutes on low heat to create a "Roux" sauce.

Gradually add the milk to the Roux sauce and whisk until a creamy béchamel sauce forms. Then, add the cheddar cheese, grated Halal Parmigiano cheese, and spices (nutmeg, pepper, and salt) to the sauce.

Cook the pasta according to package directions and drain.

Mix the pasta with the cheesy béchamel sauce.

Grease an oven tray with butter and pour the pasta mixture into it. Sprinkle grated Halal Parmigiano cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
